"I was really lucky with the group of students I taught. They were the most respectful and motivated students that were also so friendly (scroll to the last photo)! I learned teaching and leadership skills through GTL. I also saw cool sights in Israel and stuffed myself with shawarma. I also loved hanging out with stray cats.” Kalyn Bowen is a member of the class of 2019 studying Computer Science and Engineering. Over IAP, she taught app development to high school students in Nazareth, Israel through MIT-Israel & MISTI GTL. Kalyn is also a MISTI IdentityX Ambassador, and reflected about the topic of identity abroad in her first blog “Different Identities in Different Situations in Israel.” Read it now on mistiblogs.com. #MISTIgsl #MITBetterWorld #MyMISTI #MITIsrael @kalynsensei
